Fire on Oswego and Fessenden

Shortly after the power went out Friday night, we noticed a plume of smoke a few blocks away. A convenience store a few blocks west of our house was on fire.

Here was the news report from the event.

I took a few photos while I was there, but didn't linger because the smoke was clinging to the ground.

It was a two alarm fire with four trucks. Two of them were fighting the fire and two were pumping water from hydrants.

Water was flooding the streets. Residents on each corner kept the drains clear with rakes.

The fire was quickly under control and power was restored the same night, but the wreckage was still smoking the next day.
