It was obvious that the previous residents of our house knew a thing or two about gardening. Now it is time for us to learn something. The following seven plants exist on the property. Can you identify what is a weed and what is not?
Specimen #1
This plant has pine-needle like leaves.

Specimen #2

Specimen #3

Specimen #4
The dandelion/crab grass weed in this photo is unrelated. The plant in question has a few long grass-like leaves sprouting from the ground. Each blade has a while line at the center, running the length.

Specimen #5
I spent an hour pruning out old stems which this plant left in the fall. This was particularly difficult because the stems are literally covered in tiny tiny thorns. It was like working with fiberglass.

Specimen #6
This is similar to Speciment #1, but with fuller leaves.

Specimen #7

Okay, gardener, #4 looks a lot like Carex phyllocephala "Sparkler".

Definitely not a weed!
#2 looks like a peony, and if I'm right, will need cages to hold up some impressive blossoms. (The sooner you put them on, the easier!)
The photo shows what peonies look like as they start to grow - always red, but all different types of leaves. Too soon to tell which kind - you have to wait to see the full leaf, leaf color, and especially the flower. Flowers are always spectacular, perfect for cutting and decorating your house.
Ants are a big part of the flower opening, so don't pick them off until you cut them. The ants eat the sticky outside covering so they can open eventually.
Cut the flowers just before they open.
If you are willing to buy a house, you will have to get the credit loans. Furthermore, my mother always takes a auto loan, which occurs to be really rapid.
